Chess in the library with a new friend

While hanging out in the library, Kid met a young lad who also enjoys chess.

I admire how children can just say hello, and then go play together.

The boy’s mother invited us to a musical play (King Tut) that was put on by a group of homeschoolers. We were very impressed with their acting and singing skills, it was a brilliant play!

Kid’s Book Review: “Endymion Spring” by Matthew Skelton

endymion spring

A young boy moves to a new town, and while visiting the library he gets pricked on the finger by a book called Endymion Spring. He comes to realize that he is the only one who can read the words that appear on the pages of the book. It is like the book is a living being, and tells him hints of the future and the tellings of the past.

The book provided riddles to hint about the future, and it was exciting to see how things played out for real. I really liked this book and found the concept to be very interesting. I really like how this author writes books and will look for more of his work.
